Job summary

Qube Ports is seeking operators for Fremantle to load and discharge general and bulk cargoes, including on ships and wharves. The role demands flexibility for 24/7 shifts and a commitment to safety as part of our Zero Harm approach.

We welcome applicants with high-risk equipment experience (forklift, FEL, excavator, crane), a manual licence, good communication, and the ability to work autonomously in a busy port environment.

Qualifications

• High Risk Skills of Forklift, FEL, Excavator, Bobcat, WAH, EWP, Rigging, etc. are highly recommended.
• Driver’s licence required – Manual license beneficial
• Crane Operator licence is beneficial
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
• Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution

THE ROLE

We are looking for individuals seeking shift work at Fremantle. Specific duties for this role will include loading and discharging general and bulk cargoes, shipboard and wharf duties and basic clerical tasks. These Operations specialise in loading and discharging general and bulk cargoes. Commodities handled include motor vehicles, machinery, steel products, containers, project cargo and bulk cargo.

Roles to be filled: 10

The successful applicant will need to be prepared to work an irregular shift pattern in a 24/7 roster.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
