Job summary

Komatsu in Mackay is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop. You will drive safety, team performance, productivity, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with your team, you will optimise WIP, manage workloads and uphold 5S standards, with a roster of 5 days on, 2 days off in Mackay. Proven leadership and hands-on technical knowledge of Komatsu equipment are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualified (Certificate III Engineering or equivalent) with experience in workshop, maintenance or heavy equipment environments.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing work groups.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Komatsu equipment and a sound understanding of workshop operations.
  • Experience with Komatsu or another OEM, with knowledge of workshop systems, processes and warranty requirements highly regarded.
  • Customer-focused professional with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Calm, adaptable and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literacy and experience using ERP systems, with AX experience desirable.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop. In this role, you will drive safety, team performance, productivity, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while ensuring efficient WIP management, quote variance control and strong 5S standards.

Working closely with your team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the high standards our customers expect from Komatsu.

Key Responsibilities:
