Job summary

CMV Truck Centre invites a Workshop Supervisor to lead a busy heavy vehicle workshop in South Australia. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will oversee technicians and apprentices, ensuring efficient daily workflow and profitable department operation.

Key responsibilities include maintaining quality standards, driving the Fix it right the first time philosophy, adhering to OHS&W rules, road testing vehicles, and ensuring repair orders meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
• Current HR license.
• High level of problem solving/diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is completed to the company’s and manufacturers quality standards and at the required productivity level.
• Abide by and promote the “Fix it right the first time” philosophy.
• Practice and promote all OHS&W regulations and any other quality or safety principles of the company.
• Road test vehicles with or without customers to assess faults.
• Ensure that all items on the repair order are completed to specification and quality standards.

Workshop Supervisor

About CMV Truck Centre

CMV Truck Centre is a purpose built truck dealership specialising in the Sales, Service, Parts and Finance support for the class leading Kenworth and DAF brands. We are a division of the CMV Group of companies which has been operating for 90 years and employs over 2000 staff throughout S.A. and VIC.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for a large size workshop of talented technicians and enthusiastic apprentices, and to see that the flow of daily work is managed in an efficient and precise manner.

In this challenging role you will be responsible for supporting the Workshop with the day to day running of the workshop, and contributing to the efficient and profitable operation of the department.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is completed to the company’s and the manufactures quality standards and at the required productivity level

Skills & Experience

• Qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

• Current HR licence
• High level of problem solving / diagnostic skills
• Excellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprentices.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment
• Strong computer aptitude in Excel and Word
• Ability to work Saturdays on a roster system
