Job summary

Toowoomba Regional Council is seeking a Payroll Team Leader to guide a team of Payroll Officers in the accurate and timely processing of employee payments and records. You will coordinate daily payroll tasks, develop capability, and ensure compliance with awards and agreements.

About the position:

Make a meaningful impact as you lead and support a team ofPayroll Officers responsible for the accurate and timely processingof employee payments and records. You will coordinate day-to-daypayroll activities, build team capability and help ensurecompliance with relevant industrial awards and agreements.

• A strong combination of relevant experience, qualificationsand practical capability to perform the role.
• Proven payroll experience in a large or complexorganisation, with sound knowledge of payroll practices andprocedures.
• Working knowledge of the policies, industrial instrumentsand statutory requirements that govern payroll.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach and organise ateam while managing competing deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, supported bya responsive, customer-focused approach.
• A collaborative leadership style and a strong sense ofownership and accountability.
