Job summary

WeBuild, in collaboration with FGJV, is delivering Snowy 2.0 and seeks a maintenance planner to manage site activities using SAP and coordinate contractors on the NSW site.

The role requires 2–5 years planning experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • White Card and C Class Driver’s License required.
  • Trade related qualifications preferred.
  • 2–5 years planning and scheduling experience.
  • Experience with preventive and reactive maintenance systems.
  • Strong WHS knowledge and ability to supervise teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Administer planned maintenance in SAP.
  • Coordinate maintenance with Maintenance teams and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company policy guidelines on safety and servicing.
  • Coach Maintenance staff in best practice maintenance methodologies.
  • Develop and administer Maintenance KPI’s.
  • Plan line maintenance activities and ensure materials availability.
  • Check effectiveness of maintenance activities and manage maintenance systems.
  • Plan and schedule PMP & RMP for the site.

Job description

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role

This role is principally about planning maintenance activities the FGJV's facilities management software and managing contract service providers. This role also co-ordinates maintenance activities and resources on the site and subsequently develops timelines and budgets.

  • Trade related qualifications
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment Preferrable
Experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency – Essential – Word and Excel / Desirable – PowerPoint / Publisher
  • Demonstrated experience in following written communication including job orders and directions
  • 2-5 years’ experience in planning and scheduling work within a multidiscipline workforce.
  • Experience with Preventive and Reactive maintenance systems, ability to develop others, problem shoot and data analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations
  • Ability to supervise team members
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure
  • Good organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to work quickly, effectively, and positively in a demanding environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound negotiation skills as well as conflict resolution skills
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Administering all aspects of planned maintenance in SAP
  • Liaising with the Maintenance teams as well as contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and company policy guidelines with particular focus on work method safety and routine servicing of essential services
  • Coaching Maintenance staff in best practice maintenance methodologies
  • Developing and administering Maintenance KPI’s
  • Compiling and maintaining equipment histories
  • Coaching and development of Tradesmen
  • Planning of line maintenance activities.
  • Plans to ensure that all materials for the above are available (timely), ensure an acceptable level of critical spares
  • Checks effectiveness of maintenance activities
  • Manages maintenance systems
  • Broad practical experience with Root Cause Analysis and the associated attention to detail
  • Plan and schedule the sites Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) & Reactive Maintenance Program (RMP).
