As one company with two trusted brands, we’re building on the strong foundations of our history and shared values as we bring together the best of both banks.

As Supervisor – Lending Quality Assurance, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the bank’s lending quality assurance framework, ensuring lending activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk standards. You will oversee quality assurance and audit activities, analyse quality outcomes and drive improvements across lending processes, systems, policies and training to strengthen compliance, capability and customer outcomes.

This role can be based in Collingwood, Bendigo or Moe.

  • We have big plans to become Australia’s most trusted bank and a leading purpose-driven business.

  • We offer flexible working options, competitive salary and 14% super.
  • Our staff have access to a range of meaningful benefits to support their physical and mental wellbeing including 24/7 free counselling, free flu vaccinations and discounted gym memberships.
  • We also support staff with study assistance, paid parental leave (regardless of gender), volunteer, bereavement, gender affirmation and family violence leave; and the opportunity for bonus annual leave.
  • We support our staff to grow their careers through learning and development and an organisational culture where we reward and recognise innovation and values, not long hours.
  • We are committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce that reflects the Australian community.
  • We care for a conservation reserve – where we work with key partner organisations to protect threatened species and involve staff in conservation.
What you will be doing
  • Lead and continuously improve the lending quality assurance framework, ensuring effective oversight of loan origination quality, compliance and Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) requirements.
  • Lead, coach and support the Lending Quality Assurance team, driving performance, capability development and a strong culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and analyse findings to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement across lending practices.

  • Support the management of lending risk and compliance obligations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements including responsible lending, privacy and credit reporting obligations.
  • Oversee lending control testing, risk assessments and governance activities to support effective operational risk management and compliance outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators and scheme providers to support successful quality assurance and audit outcomes.
  • Support lending operations through delegated lending authority activities, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen customer, compliance and business outcomes.
What you will bring
  • Strong lending experience, including experience in a leadership role and experience operating under a high-level Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
  • Strong knowledge of lending policies, procedures, products, loan origination systems and credit risk management principles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lending legislation and regulatory requirements, including the National Credit Code, APRA, ASIC and AFCA obligations.

  • Excellent analytical, reporting and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify trends, provide actionable insights and drive improvements.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing policy, process and framework improvements within a lending or risk environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and driving operational, compliance and quality improvements will be highly regarded.
  • Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos
