Job summary

Statewide Building & Restorations Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Insurance Building Supervisor to manage end-to-end water damage and Escape of Liquid (EOL) insurance claims. You will act as the primary contact for clients, insurers, and subcontractors, overseeing claims from approval to repair with focus on timely, cost-effective outcomes.

You will oversee complex EOL claims, assess scopes of work, coordinate restoration, and ensure compliance with insurer requirements while driving

We are passionate about helping homeowners and businesses recover following insured events and, due to continued growth, are seeking an experienced Insurance Building Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience while managing the restoration and delivery process with professionalism and care.

Role Overview:

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of residential and commercial water damage and escape of liquid insurance claims. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, policyholders, insurers, restoration partners and subcontractors, you will oversee claims from approval through to repair completion, ensuring timely, cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.

You will manage complex EOL claims, review scopes of work and estimates, coordinate restoration and repair claims, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the claim lifecycle. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance building repairs, restoration methodologies and repair management, with a focus on driving efficient claim outcomes, customer satisfaction and compliance with insurer requirements.

Experience managing Escape of Liquid (EOL) claims is essential, including a thorough understanding of water mitigation, restoration processes, repair scopes and the unique challenges associated with these claim types.

This position services Sydney Metropolitan and surrounding regions, with occasional interstate travel required to support major event responses when demand increases across our national network.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end EOL claims, ensuring timely assessment, scoping, mitigation and repair outcomes
• Monitor delivery against agreed KPIs, SLAs and insurer requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support on complex claims, damage assessments, scope development, repair methodologies and policy interpretation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners, policyholders, contractors, trades and internal stakeholders
• Drive quality assurance outcomes through regular auditing of claims, documentation and project delivery standards
• Manage escalated customer and insurer concerns, delivering timely and professional resolutions
• Monitor financial performance of claims, including costs, variations, contractor performance and budget adherence
• Ensure compliance with all WHS, legislative, regulatory and company requirements
• Contribute to process improvements, operational efficiencies and best practice claims management across the business
• Support major event and catastrophe responses as required, including interstate deployment during peak demand periods

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of Escape of Liquid claims management, restoration processes and insurance repair methodologies
• Demonstrated experience managing insurer relationships and service delivery performance
• Solid knowledge of residential and commercial building construction practices
• Trade qualification, building qualification or relevant industry experience highly regarded
• Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA), Australian Standards and WHS requirements
• Experience reviewing estimates, scopes of work and repair methodologies for insurance claims
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
• High level of commercial acumen with experience managing claim costs, budgets and profitability
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong computer literacy with experience using estimating, claims and project management platforms
• White Card (essential)
• Highly organised, customer-focused and committed to delivering quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
