Job summary

Far Southeast Gold Resources, Inc. seeks an Electrical Supervisor to join our mining operations. Reporting to the Coordinator: Electrical, you will lead the frontline electrical team, manage contractors, and ensure all maintenance is performed safely and in compliance with procedures.

You will utilise your WA license, Schedule 26, and HV switching qualifications to minimise production impact, mentor staff, and contribute to a safe, environmentally responsible site.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification and WA Electrical License.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate.
• High Voltage Switching qualifications and experience.
• Electrical Nominee’s License (current).
• WA Manual Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of electrical team including contractors.
• Ensure maintenance electrical works are completed safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Minimise production disruption by ensuring access to critical parts and service providers.
• Provide leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team using performance management systems.
• Develop and maintain training and development plans for the team.

Job description

Reporting to Coordinator: Electrical, you will provide front line support and ensure all works are carried out in a safe, timely, cost effective and environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements. You will assist to ensure all maintenance/electrical work is safely executed in accordance with the plan, while meeting all Gold Fields standards.

About You

• An Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification & WA Electrical License
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate
• High Voltage Switching qualifications and experience
• A current Electrical Nominee’s License
• SAP knowledge would be highly regarded
• Instrumentation experience is an advantage
• WA Manual Driver’s Licence
• Demonstrated leadership and performance development experience within a mining environment
• The ability to multitask, communicate clearly and be proactive is essentialPrevious Electrical Supervisory experience with strong practical knowledge

Duties Of The Role

• Manage day to day activities of electrical team inclusive of contractors.
• Ensuring all maintenance electrical works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems;
• Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining sound working relationships and having contingency plans in place.
• Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team through effective use of Performance Management Systems.
• Assist to develop and maintain training and development plans for the team.
