Job summary

GOLD FIELDS in Western Australia is recruiting an Electrical Supervisor to lead the day-to-day electrical team, including contractors, ensuring safe and compliant maintenance work while minimising production disruption. The role involves providing strong leadership, mentoring, and succession planning within a mining context.

Ideal candidates will hold an Australian Electrical Trade Qualification with WA License, Schedule 26, and HV switching qualifications, plus demonstrated supervisory

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification and WA Electrical License.
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate is required.
• High Voltage Switching qualifications and experience are essential.
• Electrical Nominee’s License held or eligible.
• SAP knowledge would be highly regarded.
• Instrumentation experience is an advantage.
• WA Manual Driver’s Licence is required.
• Demonstrated leadership within a mining environment.
• Ability to multitask and communicate clearly, with proactive approach.
• Previous Electrical Supervisory experience with strong practical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day activities of electrical team including contractors.
• Ensure maintenance electrical works are completed safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Minimise production disruption by securing parts, equipment and service providers.
• Provide leadership and mentoring through Performance Management Systems.
• Assist in developing training and development plans for the team.

Duties of the role:

• Manage day to day activities of electrical team inclusive of contractors.
• Ensuring all maintenance electrical works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems;
• Ensure minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts, equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining sound working relationships and having contingency plans in place.
• Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring for the Electrical team through effective use of Performance Management Systems.
• Assist to develop and maintain training and development plans for the team.
