Job summary

Mineral Resources (MinRes) is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor for Mt Marion Lithium operations in Western Australia. You will lead electrical maintenance crews, ensure safety, and drive reliability across mobile and fixed crushing processing assets.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to safe, compliant plant operation in a FIFO roster from Perth. Mt Marion site responsibilities span planning, execution and team development.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in an electrical supervisory or leadership role within mining, processing, fixed plant or heavy industry.
  • Current Western Australian Electrical Worker's Licence.
  • Electrical Trade Qualification required for role.
  • Strong knowledge of motors, VSDs, PLCs, instrumentation and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule and coordinate day-to-day electrical maintenance and repairs on mobile and fixed crushing and screening equipment.
  • Lead and support electrical teams to ensure safe, efficient maintenance in line with site requirements.
  • Conduct inspections, testing and maintenance of electrical systems and control circuits.
  • Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise reliability and lifespan.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across plant, motors, VSDs, PLCs and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and site policies.

The Opportunity

Crushing Services International is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our high performing team at our Mt Marion Lithium operation.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will provide day-to-day leadership, direction and supervision to electrical maintenance crews. You will lead a team of skilled electricians and electrical tradespeople, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your practical, hands-on approach and strong technical knowledge will support plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement across our operations.

This is a permanent role on an 8D 6RR roster, FIFO from Perth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, schedule and coordinate day-to-day electrical maintenance, repairs, fault-finding and breakdown work on mobile and fixed crushing and screening equipment.
  • Lead and support electrical teams to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections, testing and maintenance checks on electrical systems, instrumentation, control circuits and associated plant equipment.
  • Plan and oversee preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability, availability and operational lifespan.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across mobile and fixed crushing plant, conveyors, motors, variable speed drives, PLCs and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety legislation, site safety requirements, company policies and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Ensure daily tasks are appropriately allocated, supervised and completed by direct reports.
  • Lead pre-start meetings, return-to-work meetings, PSI discussions and other safety engagements.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and completion of electrical maintenance shutdowns and major works.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and electrical documentation.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members while fostering a positive, safety-focused team culture.
  • Coordinate the plant isolation process, supporting the team with maintaining and updating the isolation site matrix.
What is required?
  • Demonstrated experience in an electrical supervisory or leadership role within mining, processing, fixed plant or heavy industry.
  • Current Western Australian Electrical Worker's Licence.
  • Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Strong operational and technical knowledge of electrical systems associated with mobile crushing, screening and processing equipment.
  • Experience with motors, variable speed drives, PLCs, instrumentation, control circuits and fault-finding techniques.
  • Sound understanding of electrical safety regulations, isolation procedures, statutory requirements and best practice in a mining environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and mentor a diverse electrical team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Physically mobile with a good level of fitness.
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Mt Marion is located 40km south-west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
