Job summary

Mineral Resources seeks an experienced Mechanical Supervisor for Mount Marion, WA, to direct maintenance crews and ensure safe, efficient work on fixed plant equipment including crushers, conveyors and screens. This full-time role operates on an 8D 6RR FIFO roster from Perth.

You will lead scheduling, inspections, fault diagnosis and team coaching while upholding quality, environmental and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a fast-paced mining/processing plant.
• Strong commitment to health and safety of the team.
• Experience with mechanical systems such as crushers, conveyors, screens and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule mechanical maintenance on fixed plant equipment.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to maximise reliability.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis to minimise downtime.
• Ensure safety and management issue registers are actioned with HR and Site Management.
• Maintain high equipment condition and enforce company policies.
• Lead inductions and annual performance reviews for staff and contractors.
• Arrange rosters to support continuous operations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to provide day-to-day direction and supervision of maintenance crews at our Mount Marion lithium site. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance activities. This crucial supervisory role ensures the reliability and performance of our fixed dry plant.

This role is a full-time permanent role, on an 8D 6RR roster - FIFO from Perth.

• Supervise and schedule day-to-day mechanical maintenance, repair, and breakdown work on fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and associated infrastructure.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance schedules to maximise equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Conduct regular inspections, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis to minimise plant downtime.
• Organise and action registers for all safety and management issues highlighted from daily reports and inspections.
• Monitor and uphold equipment condition to the highest standard.
• Implement and improve Quality, Environmental and other Company policies.
• Ensure all employees and contractors are suitably qualified for their roles in conjunction with HR and Site Management.
• Conduct professional new employee inductions and annual staff performance and goals reviews.
• Arrange rosters and maintain manning levels to support continuous operations.
• Utilize strong problem solving and analytical skills to find solutions and coach and mentor the team to come up with solutions themselves.

What is required?

• C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Schedule 26 LGIRS certification and strong commitment to health and safety of the team.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, jaw and cone crushers, product screens, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, pumps, gearboxes, and materials handling equipment.
• High Risk Work licences (e.g., crane, forklift, EWP, rigging).
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent.
• Relevant Trade Qualification and Supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working in a fast pace Crushing Plant or similar Fixed Plant environment in a supervisory capacity.
• Australian work rights.

Mt Marion is located 40km south-west of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. MinRes manages all mining activities at Mt Marion, including a spodumene concentrate processing plant with an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes (SC6 equivalent).
