Job description

Join a growing WA-owned manufacturing and construction business and help lead our modular manufacturing team in Henderson!

McNally is looking for an experienced, hands-on Supervisor to join our team at our Henderson manufacturing facility.

This is an opportunity for a practical, solutions-focused leader who enjoys being on the ground, supporting their team and taking pride in delivering quality projects.

About Us

McNally is a proudly Western Australian business specialising in the design, manufacture and construction of modular buildings, mining accommodation villages and non-process infrastructure throughout WA.

With our own manufacturing facilities and an experienced construction team, we deliver projects from design through to completion.

We're a business built on strong values, genuine relationships and a commitment to doing what we say we're going to do. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for someone who shares that approach.

About the Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take responsibility for coordinating and supervising day-to-day manufacturing activities at our Henderson yard.

You'll lead trades, yard personnel and subcontractors to ensure our modular buildings are completed safely, efficiently, to specification and on schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are quite the same. You'll need to be organised, approachable and comfortable rolling up your sleeves when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily manufacturing activities, trades and subcontractors to meet production schedules.
  • Lead daily pre-start meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate materials, labour and subcontractor activities to keep builds progressing.
  • Work closely with our Construction, Stores, Drafting, Procurement and Quality teams.
  • Oversee quality inspections, punch lists and defect rectification prior to dispatch.
  • Coordinate building set-out, yard layout, packing lists and materials for transport.
  • Attend client inspections and assist with testing and quality requirements.
  • Support yard operations, including forklift activities where required.
  • Identify potential delays or issues early and work collaboratively to find practical solutions.
  • Lead by example and maintain a positive, productive and respectful workplace.
About You

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a construction or manufacturing environment, takes ownership of their work and genuinely enjoys leading people.

To be successful, you'll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience supervising construction trades, manufacturing teams or modular building production.
  • A strong trade background, preferably within building or construction.
  • Experience in modular construction, prefabricated buildings or mining infrastructure. (preferred but not essential)
  • Sound understanding of construction drawings, manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence coordinating subcontractors and managing competing priorities.
  • A practical understanding of workplace safety and quality compliance.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to jump in and help when needed.
  • Relevant building or construction qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes accountability, communicates openly, supports their team and brings a positive attitude to work.
What's on Offer?

Full-time, Perth-based position at our Henderson manufacturing facility.

Monday to Friday working arrangements, with the odd Saturday from time to time as operational needs require.

The opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of modular building and mining infrastructure projects.

A supportive team with approachable leadership and a strong focus on our company values.

Opportunities for professional growth and development.

The chance to make a genuine impact in a growing WA-owned business.

If you're an experienced Supervisor who enjoys leading from the front, solving problems and working with a team that takes pride in delivering quality projects, we'd love to hear from you.

We are deeply committed to our core values and foundations. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Fun is one of our values, so laughter and light-hearted moments are part of how we build strong teams, remain resilient and enjoy the challenge.

McNally Group Contracting is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds who share our commitment to safety, teamwork and doing things right.
