Job summary

Bravus Mining and Resources is seeking a Superintendent - Site Services to lead workforce logistics at Carmichael Mine. You will manage flights, accommodation and airfield operations for site personnel, based onsite and reporting to the Manager Safety, Training and Administration.

You will engage Operations, Safety and Finance to optimise rosters, budgets and services, while driving lean improvements and a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business or related field.
• Current Standard 11, QLD Coal Board Medical and QLD Class C Driver Licence with relevant competencies.
• Proven experience in contract management.
• Strong skills in managing contractor relationships and performance.
• Strong analytical and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Experience budgeting and planning resources 6–12 months ahead.
• Clear communication, coaching abilities and influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end workforce logistics including flights, accommodation and airfield operations.
• Forecast flight requirements with site departments and rostering teams.
• Work with accommodation and camp management contractors to optimise room use and service standards.
• Serve as main contact for logistics and accommodation contract partners.
• Set KPIs, run performance reviews, and approve payment claims and queries.
• Coach supervisors and frontline leaders to succeed in the Carmichael environment.
• Find ways to automate and improve processes using lean methods.
• Lead safe work practices and a strong safety culture.

Job description

Bravus is looking for a Superintendent - Site Services to lead workforce logistics at Carmichael Mine. You'll make sure flights, accommodation and airfield operations for our site‑based people are safe, efficient and cost‑effective.

You'll be based onsite at Carmichael Coal Mine and report to the Manager Safety, Training and Administration. You'll work closely with Operations, Safety and Training, Finance, senior management and our contracting partners. The roster for this position is an 8/6 day shift roster. This position will work back‑to‑back with our current Superintendent to ensure everyday coverage and support onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end workforce logistics function, including flights, accommodation and airfield operations
• Forecast flight requirements with site departments and rostering teams, and make the most of every seat
• Work with accommodation and camp management contractors to improve room use and keep service standards high
• Be the main contact for logistics and accommodation contract partners
• Set clear KPIs, run performance reviews, and approve payment claims and contract queries
• Coach contract supervisors and frontline leaders to succeed in the Carmichael environment

About You

Bravus Mining and Resources’ Carmichael mine is an open cut thermal coal mine in the North Galilee Basin, approximately 160 kilometres northwest of the town of Clermont.
