Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty is seeking an experienced site-based leader to manage daily rail and civil construction operations in South Australia. The full-time role operates on a 10:4 DIDO roster, blending workforce leadership with operational coordination and engineering support.

The successful candidate will supervise teams, plan works to meet programme and budget commitments, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across the project.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Track Safe Working certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Rail track, signalling and overhead wiring construction experience.
  • Experience developing renewal methods and supervising track activities.
  • Strong planning and programming of track works.
  • Experience managing substantial site and off-site workforces.
  • Medical fitness for rail maintenance duties under the Level 1 High Level Safety Critical Worker classification.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Manage daily rail and civil construction operations in South Australia. This full-time site role follows a 10:4 DIDO roster and combines workforce leadership, operational coordination and delegated engineering support.

Your Responsibilities
  • Supervise construction teams and allocate plant, materials and subcontractors.
  • Plan works to achieve programme and budget commitments.
  • Resolve site engineering issues and support scoping and tender activities.
  • Manage safety, environmental, quality and rail compliance controls.

RequirementsSkills, Education And Requirements
  • Relevant Track Safe Working certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Rail track, signalling and overhead wiring construction experience.

  • Strong planning and programming of track works.
  • Experience managing substantial site and off-site workforces.
  • Medical fitness for rail maintenance duties under the Level 1 High Level Safety Critical Worker classification.
  • A C-class driver licence and First Aid training are preferred.
