Glencore’s Clermont Open Cut in Queensland is hiring a Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to lead the mobile maintenance team and deliver the annual maintenance plan on site. The role requires Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications, 5+ years in heavy industry, and proven leadership.

Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking experienced Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to join our dynamic Engineering team onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading the Mobile Maintenance team to safely deliver the annual maintenance plan by optimising activities and continually improving the reliability and availability of sites mobile equipment
• Leading a team of 6 Maintenance Supervisors to safely deliver and execute the maintenance strategy onsite
• Engagement with internal and external stakeholders
• Management of the mobile maintenance budget and forecasting process which supports the effective cost management of the Maintenance Department

Requirements for the role include:

• Mechanical/Electrical Trade qualification or tertiary qualifications essential
• 5+ years' experience in heavy industry/workshop environments
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safely
• Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities
• QLD Drivers Licence

This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practise using a hands-on approach.
