Job summary

Glencore is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Superintendent for Clermont Open Cut in Queensland. You will lead the Mobile Maintenance team to deliver the annual maintenance plan while optimising activities and improving reliability of mobile equipment.

You will oversee six Maintenance Supervisors and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure safe, cost-effective operations. The role requires mechanical/electrical trade qualifications or tertiary qualifications, and a track record of

Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to join our dynamic Engineering team onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual. In this role you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Leading the Mobile Maintenance team to safely deliver the annual maintenance plan by optimising activities and continually improving the reliability and availability of sites mobile equipment
• Leading a team of 6 Maintenance Supervisors to safely deliver and execute the maintenance strategy onsite
• Engagement with internal and external stakeholders
• Management of the mobile maintenance budget and forecasting process which supports the effective cost management of the Maintenance Department

Requirements

• Mechanical/Electrical Trade qualification or tertiary qualifications essential
• 5+ years’ experience in heavy industry/workshop environments
• S123 & G2 qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safely
• Contractor Management experience
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities
• QLD Drivers Licence
• This role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practise using a hands‑on approach.
