Job summary

W3Global is seeking experienced Utility Surveyors to join the Subsurface Utility Investigation division, based at Gregory Hills (NSW) or Brisbane (QLD). You will perform SUI works using EM locating, GPR, and sonde tracing on active infrastructure sites and produce deliverables integrated with our 12d Synergy workflows.

You will work across road, rail, water, and civil projects, collaborate with survey teams and CCTV subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

Experience in utility locating and utility surveys.
CertLoc certification or equivalent demonstrated competency.
Ability to work on active infrastructure sites with safety compliance.
Knowledge of AS 5488:2022 and AS 1345 colour coding standards.
White Card and a current driver’s license; National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
Exposure to 3D array GPR systems and post-processing software.

Our client is a surveying and civil infrastructure consultancy working with contractors on major road, rail, and civil projects across NSW, ACT, and QLD.

As they are growing their Subsurface Utility Investigation division and looking for experienced Utility Surveyors to join the team, based out of either their Gregory Hills (NSW) & Brisbane (QLD) offices.

The Role

Perform SUI works using EM locating, GPR, and sonde tracing on active infrastructure sites
Produce SUI deliverables integrated with our existing 12d Synergy & drafting workflows
Work across road, rail, water, and civil infrastructure projects for major contractor clients
Collaborate with survey teams and in-house drafting on integrated survey + SUI packages
Work alongside NDD/CCTV subcontractors on site

Proven experience in utility locating and utility surveys
CertLoc certification or equivalent demonstrated competency
EM locating, GPR, and sonde tracing experience
Working knowledge of AS 5488:2022 and AS 1345 colour coding standards
DBYD compliance knowledge
White Card, current driver's licence, National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Concrete scanning experience

Confined Space or Traffic Control accreditation
