Ausgrid, Australia’s largest electricity distributor, is seeking a Lead Designer-level Electrical Designer to produce detailed layout drawings for Zone and Sub Transmission Substations across the network. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering design solutions for construction and coordinating HV substation components, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You’ll report to the Lead Designer in the Sydney Design team and contribute to both North and South region projects, ensuring

Qualifications

• Post electrical trade qualifications are preferred.
• Experience in design and drafting of HV electrical substation components.
• Ability to complete detailed design as part of a team and individually.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical layout drawings for Zone and Sub Transmission Substations.
• Coordinate design solutions with multidisciplinary teams and ensure safety, time, cost and quality targets.
• Develop and coordinate HV substation drawings and interpret related civil/structural drawings.
