Job summary

Nexmin, a Perth-based engineering consultancy, is seeking a Study Manager to oversee mineral processing studies from scoping to DFS, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and schedules, and maintaining client relationships.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to study methodologies, in a permanent, full-time position in Osborne Park.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, Mineral Processing or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in mineral processing, EPCM or engineering consultancy.
• Experience managing scoping, PFS and DFS studies.
• Experience across commodities such as Lithium, Gold, Rare Earth, Base Metals.
• Strong understanding of mineral processing plant design and operations.
• Commercial acumen and project financial management.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate mineral processing study projects from initiation through to final delivery.
• Lead study planning, execution and reporting activities.
• Develop study scopes, deliverables, schedules and resource plans.
• Ensure studies are completed within budgets and timelines.
• Monitor progress and manage risks, issues and change control processes.
• Coordinate internal and external technical reviews and multidisciplinary integration.
• Facilitate design reviews, workshops and client meetings.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to engineers and study managers.
