Job summary

Murray High School in Regional NSW is seeking a Student Support Officer on a full-time, temporary basis. The role focuses on enhancing student wellbeing and learning outcomes in partnership with the wellbeing team and school counselling services.

Responsibilities include delivering targeted wellbeing support, coordinating with external agencies, and developing referral pathways for students and families. A diploma in social work or related field is required, along with WWCC clearance.

Qualifications

• Completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policies.
• Valid and current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support and whole-of-school wellbeing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with the wellbeing team and school counselling service.
• Create referral pathways to child and family support agencies.
