Job summary

Queensland Government, North Coast Region, is seeking a Guidance Officer in a temporary full-time capacity to support student wellbeing, resilience and educational success through early intervention and tailored programs.

Roles are across multiple locations in Queensland, with start dates through to 25 June 2027. The pool invites Expressions of Interest and may extend up to 12 months per appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience in student wellbeing, resilience and early intervention.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and individual student support for wellbeing and educational goals.
• Conduct assessments to identify learning or emotional needs and recommend adjustments.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and external partners to improve student engagement.
• Support school programs and referrals to ensure access to wellbeing services.
