Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria is seeking an AH 3 Social Worker to manage a varied caseload, respond to incidents within schools and contribute to capability building within schools.

The role requires a graduate or post-graduate qualification in Social Work, eligibility for AASW membership, a current Australian Driver's Licence and a WWCC. A supportive team and flexible working arrangements are provided.

About the Department

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.

About the role

As an AH 3 Social Worker you will also be required to manage a varied caseload, undertake the health and wellbeing key contact function, respond to incidents within schools and contribute to capability building within schools.

Required: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), as well as a current Australian Drivers' Licence and a current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
