Job summary

Kelmscott Senior High School (SHS) in Western Australia seeks a permanent, full-time Manager of Student Services to oversee two SSOs across years 7–12 and lead the student services hub. You will analyse student data with the deputy principals, advise and coach staff, coordinate interventions, liaise with parents, support emergency planning, and drive restorative practice school-wide.

Qualifications

• Must be Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
• Must hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Obtain a Working With Children Check before you start; and
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis of student services with the DP’s and overseeing appropriate interventions.
• Manage the student services office, processes, workflow and staff accountability in the student services hub.
• Advise and coach the SS managers and SSOs.
• Advise the Principal on data patterns, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Ensure the managers lead the case management meetings for tiers of intervention.
• Liaise with parents when required to support the managers.
• Be responsible for emergency management when it may arise.
• Lead school-wide implementation of restorative practice in conjunction with the DP’s.
