Job summary

Resmed in Sydney invites students to join the 12-week Student Summer Intern Program as a Product Sustainability Engineer. You will join the Product Sustainability team within the Materials Engineering Group, evaluating lifecycle environmental impacts and helping drive sustainable product decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience in sustainability initiatives, and contribute ideas to improve patient and planetary outcomes while balancing business needs.

Qualifications

• Currently studying an Engineering or Science degree.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative approach to working with others.
• Creative and practical problem-solving.
• Interest in product sustainability and environmental impact.
• Confidence to contribute ideas and challenge thinking constructively.

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation of environmental impacts across the complete product lifecycle.
• Contribute to initiatives that advance Resmed’s product sustainability ambitions.
• Work with the Product Sustainability team to influence more sustainable product decisions.
• Collaborate with Materials Engineering, Global Sustainability and Product teams.
• Help solve sustainability challenges within a complex global organisation.
• Balance environmental priorities with practical business needs.
• Communicate ideas and findings clearly to stakeholders across different teams.
• Bring fresh thinking to opportunities that improve outcomes for patients and the planet.
