Job summary

ResMed in Sydney is offering a 3-month internship program for a Student Engineer who is highly motivated, a go-getter and a great communicator. You will work under supervision on real-world engineering problems, collaborating with the Verification and Validation Team to create testing methodologies, and gain hands-on experience with ResMed products such as masks and CPAP machines.

You will develop testing methods, run protocols, perform exploratory testing, and contribute to improvements.

• Currently in 2nd year or above in an engineering degree (mechatronics, software, biomedical, electrical, mechanical, chemical, systems or science).

Job description

We are offering a 3-month internship program for a Student Engineer who is highly motivated, a go-getter, a great communicator, a problem solver, a curious investigator and an out of the box thinker who is not afraid to experiment and to ask questions. Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will get a chance to work on real world engineering problems collaborating within the Verification and Validation Team to create new testing methodologies, automation and/or robotics verification solutions. Additionally, you will get hands on experience using and testing ResMed products such as Masks, CPAP Machines, Ventilators and other accessories. ResMed practices a flexible working environment and achieves its success through diverse collaborative teams. The skills needed to excel will be trained and coached on the job, so you can help make medical products for those who need them while you are learning! This program provides excellent experience and exposure for those interested in graduate jobs at ResMed.

To get us really excited, you are currently in your 2rd year or above taking an engineering degree such as mechatronics, software, biomedical, electrical, mechanical, chemical, systems or a science degree (physics or materials). While these specific degrees are necessary to give you the background required to hit the ground running in this role, success within the role will be driven by personal capabilities describe earlier as the role moves beyond technical skills from university.
