Job summary

Quality People urgently seeks a Student Civil Engineer – Asset Management for a 12-month contract on the Gold Coast. You will support road infrastructure projects through technical assistance, contract administration, and heavy vehicle permit management.

You must be enrolled in the second or third year of a WA-accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree and gain practical experience in design, construction, and maintenance under senior staff.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in year 2 or 3 of a four-year WA-accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Assist in coordinating daily operational activities and heavy vehicle permit workflows.
• Identify potential issues and negotiate route modifications when needed.
• Determine road and bridge maintenance procedures and manage related tasks.
• Support project planning, quality management and contract administration.

Job description

Our client URGENTLY requires a Student Civil Engineer- Asset Management for 12months+ Contract on the Gold Coast.

We are seeking a motivated Student Civil Engineer - Asset Management, supporting road infrastructure projects through technical assistance, contract administration, and heavy vehicle permit management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering design, construction, and maintenance processes under the guidance of senior engineering staff.

Skills and Experience required includes:

• Currently enrolled in the second or third year of a four-year, Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Assist in coordinating daily operational activities and managing heavy vehicle permit workflows to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
• Identify potential issues and negotiate route modifications where necessary.
• Determine appropriate road and bridge maintenance procedures and manage associated tasks.
• Support project planning, quality management, and the administration of contracts.

Government experience would be highly advantageous.
