Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Structures Foreman in Brisbane to oversee the structural cycle of high-rise towers, coordinating formwork, steel fixing, concreting, post-tensioning and crane operations.

You will drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence on major multi-million-dollar projects with a strong focus on teamwork and leadership of large subcontractor crews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years as Structures Foreman on large high-rise projects.
• Carpentry background or a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management/Civil Engineering.
• Experience in Tier 1 or strong Tier 2 environments with jump form systems and complex temporary works.
• Rigorous safety focus on high-risk activities, working at heights, and crane operations.
• Exceptional leadership with large subcontractor teams and production drive.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimise the tower's structural cycle time (slabs, columns, vertical elements, and core walls).
• Lead and hold accountable formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement, post-tensioning, and crane crews.
• Enforce Tier 1 WH&S policies and engineered formwork sign-offs.
• Manage heavy site logistics, crane coordination, concrete delivery schedules, and material handling.
• Drive daily/weekly programs to hit critical path milestones and adhere to structural specs.

Due to several major project wins in the Brisbane market, they are seeking an experienced, detail-driven Structures Foreman to join the high-performing delivery team.

The Role

• Structural Cycle Management: Oversee and optimise the tower's structural cycle time (slabs, columns, vertical elements, and core walls).
• Subcontractor Coordination: Lead and hold accountable formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement, post-tensioning, and crane crews.
• Safety & Formwork Compliance: Enforce strict Tier 1 WH&S policies, temporary works procedures, and engineered formwork sign-offs.
• Logistics & Materials: Manage heavy site logistics, crane coordination, concrete delivery schedules, and material handling in a tight footprint.
• Program & Quality: Drive daily and weekly programs to hit critical path milestones while ensuring strict adherence to structural engineering specifications.

Experience/Qualifications Required

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 4+ years as a Structures Foreman / Supervisor on large-scale commercial or residential high-rise projects ($80M+ value minimum).
• Trade Background: A carpentry background is highly advantageous, or a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management / Civil Engineering.
• Tier 1 or 2 Pedigree: Demonstrated experience working within structured Tier 1 or strong Tier 2 environments, with an expert understanding of jump form systems and complex temporary works.
• Rigorous Safety Focus: Uncompromising attitude toward high-risk work activities, working at heights, and crane operations.
• Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage large subcontractor teams and drive production effectively.
