Job summary

Fitch Ratings in Sydney is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the Australia/New Zealand Structured Finance and Covered Bonds team. The role focuses on rating new transactions, ongoing reviews, data analysis in Excel, and presenting findings to committees.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in finance related discipline; candidates with science or engineering background will be considered.
For Analyst level: 18 months experience at a financial institution in mortgage or asset finance; credit/analytical role preferred.
Senior Analyst/Associate Director: 3–5 years structured finance experience at issuer, arranger, or trustee.

Responsibilities

Rate new structured finance transactions and monitor existing programmes.
Ensure all SF transactions and CvB programmes are reviewed on a 12‑month cycle and annually by due date.
Perform data analysis in Excel and execute Fitch models.
Prepare analytical documentation and present findings in committee meetings.
Provide timely commentary on market and transaction performance; manage queries from issuers, bankers and investors.
