Job summary

Fitch Ratings is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the Australia/New Zealand Structured Finance and Covered Bonds team in Sydney. The role involves rating new transactions, reviewing programmes on a 12-month cycle, and performing data analysis with Fitch models.

Strong Excel skills and experience in mortgage or asset finance are preferred. You will work with issuers, bankers, and investors, contributing to analytical documentation and market commentary while engaging in cross-functional

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in finance or related field.
For Analyst level: 18 months experience in mortgage or asset finance in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

Rate new transactions and assess new asset classes and issuers.
Ensure structured finance transactions are reviewed on a 12-month cycle and annual due date.
Perform data analysis in Excel and run Fitch-generated models.
Prepare high-quality analytical documentation and present findings in committee meetings.
Provide timely market commentary and manage queries from issuers/bankers/investors.
Participate in originator/servicer review meetings and contribute to ad hoc projects.
