Job summary

Foreshore Engineering is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Draftsperson with expertise in Tekla to join our team in Sydney. The role focuses on producing detailed shop and fabrication drawings, material lists, and ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and site teams, revise drawings as needed, and support workshop personnel with interpretation of complex Tekla models.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Draftsperson with Tekla.
• Advanced Tekla Structures skills: 3D modeling and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop, fabrication, assembly and erection drawings.
• Produce detailed bills of materials and cutting lists.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specs and Australian Standards.
• Revise drawings based on client, engineer or site feedback.
• Coordinate drawing approvals and document control processes.
• Provide technical support to workshop and site personnel on drawing interpretation.
• Prepare material take-offs for steel projects from Tekla.
