Job summary

Cookson and Roberts is seeking a skilled Structural Revit Drafter/BIM Technician to join our Sydney office and help deliver large-scale, iconic projects. You’ll produce high-quality Revit models, detailed drawings and coordinate with engineers, architects and other disciplines from concept through construction documentation.

You'll work in a small, growing drafting team under a manager who mentors and supports your development, with clear opportunities to take on more responsibility and advance

Qualifications

• Experience as Structural Revit Drafter/BIM Technician in a structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong Revit modelling and structural documentation skills.
• Experience with building structures, ideally multi-storey, commercial or large-scale developments.
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
• Familiarity with BIM processes, coordination and model management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce high-quality structural Revit models and detailed documentation for major building projects.
• Work on large-scale developments including high-rise towers, commercial buildings and mixed-use precincts.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects and other disciplines throughout the design and documentation process.
• Produce detailed structural drawings covering reinforced concrete, structural steel and other building elements.
• Coordinate BIM models and identify and resolve clashes and design coordination issues.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects from concept design through to construction documentation.
• Maintain high standards of modelling accuracy, quality and BIM compliance.
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and drafting teams to deliver technically challenging projects.

We are working with a highly respected, Australian-owned engineering consultancy with an impressive global footprint and offices around the world. Their growing Sydney office is looking to welcome an experienced Structural Revit Drafter/BIM Technician to join the team.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Structural Revit Drafter, BIM Technician or Revit Modeller within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong Revit modelling and structural documentation skills.
• Experience working on building structures, ideally multi-storey, commercial or large-scale developments.
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
• Familiarity with BIM processes, coordination and model management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other disciplines.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine enthusiasm for working on technically challenging projects.
