Job summary

Scotford Fennessy on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Structural Drafter to advance a specialist structures consultancy. You will build 3D Revit models from engineering sketches and consultant models, and deliver detailed plans, sections and elevations for steel and reinforced concrete buildings.

The role offers a pathway toward a BIM Lead position, with involvement in document control and QA across multiple projects in commercial, residential and education sectors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience using Revit within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Experience drafting steel and reinforced concrete building structures.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team.

Responsibilities

Are you a Senior Structural Drafter who enjoys working on technically challenging buildings and wants to be part of a collaborative, specialist structures consultancy?

We're partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy on the Gold Coast that's built an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Structural Drafter to join their team and eventually step into a BIM Lead role.

About the role

• Creating and maintaining accurate 3D Revit models from engineering sketches and consultant models.
• Producing detailed documentation including plans, sections and elevations.
• Preparing structural drawings for steel and reinforced concrete buildings.
• Drafting construction details across a range of structural systems and construction methodologies.
• Managing document control and maintaining quality assurance standards throughout project delivery, including managing and coordinating a small team

About you

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• 10+ years experience using Revit within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Experience drafting steel and reinforced concrete building structures.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
