Job summary

rcmt is seeking an experienced Structural Modeller/Drafter at an intermediate to senior level to join our Sydney building structures team. You will produce accurate, coordinated structural documentation across diverse building projects, collaborating with engineers, architects and other consultants.

Ideal candidates bring strong 3D modelling and drafting skills in Revit and/or AutoCAD, with a proactive approach to teamwork and technical delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural drafting or modelling within a building structures consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of structural drawings, construction detailing and engineering documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering mark-ups and translate design intent into accurate, coordinated drawings.
• Excellent collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.

Are you a Structural Modeller or Drafter looking for your next opportunity with a leading consulting engineering team?

We are seeking an experienced Structural Modeller / Drafter at Intermediate to Senior level to join a well-established building structures consultancy delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects.

This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced Structural Engineers and fellow drafting professionals, contributing to the delivery of complex building projects while continuing to develop your technical capability and career.

The Opportunity

Working closely with Structural Engineers and the wider project team, you will be responsible for producing accurate, coordinated structural documentation across a variety of building projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Developing detailed structural models and drawings for reinforced concrete, structural steel and other building structures.
• Producing high-quality structural documentation using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Collaborating with Structural Engineers, architects and other consultants to resolve design and coordination issues.
• Coordinating structural models and documentation to ensure accuracy, constructability and compliance with project requirements.
• Identifying and resolving drafting discrepancies and design clashes.Contributing to project delivery from concept and design development through to construction documentation.
• Supporting the development of junior team members where appropriate, particularly at Senior level.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong foundation in structural drafting and modelling, together with a proactive approach to teamwork, coordination and technical delivery.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in structural drafting or modelling within a building structures consulting environment.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD, with strong 3D modelling and documentation capabilities.
• Experience working on commercial, multi-storey residential, industrial or other building structures projects.
• A sound understanding of structural drawings, construction detailing and engineering documentation.
• The ability to interpret engineering mark-ups and translate design intent into accurate, coordinated drawings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality documentation.

Candidates at Senior level who can demonstrate strong technical capability, coordination skills and the ability to take ownership of project documentation will be particularly well suited.
