Job summary

Melrose Built Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Structural Foreman to lead the structural stage of an education project through completion. You will report to the Site Manager and Project Manager, coordinating formwork, reinforcement, concrete, post-tensioning, precast and steel to meet tight milestones.

You will read structural drawings confidently, drive floor cycles safely, and ensure high-standard delivery across critical phases while maintaining a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Structural Foreman on educational, residential or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, post-tensioned slabs and concrete construction.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors concurrently.
• Ability to drive floor cycles without compromising safety or quality.
• Solid understanding of high-risk work, temporary works and crane operations.
• Clear communication skills and leadership presence on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all structural trades, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete, post-tensioning, precast and steel.

• Plan and coordinate concrete pours, crane and hoist use, and site logistics.
• Manage hold points, engineer inspections and pre-pour sign-offs.
• Oversee temporary works, propping and back-propping in line with engineering requirements.
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity and accountability.
• Identify and resolve design, quality and delivery risks proactively.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are upheld at all times, particularly for high-risk construction work.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Structural Foreman to lead the structural stage of an education project through to completion

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and coordinate all structural trades, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete, post-tensioning, precast and steel
• Drive the structural programme and floor cycle times to meet critical milestones
• Plan and coordinate concrete pours, crane and hoist use, and site logistics
• Manage hold points, engineer inspections and pre-pour sign-offs
• Oversee temporary works, propping and back-propping in line with engineering requirements
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity and accountability
• Identify and resolve design, quality and delivery risks proactively
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are upheld at all times, particularly for high-risk construction work

You will be hands-on, structured and confident reading structural drawings and specifications, and you will keep momentum through the critical structure phase of delivery.

Required Licences and Certifications

Systems Experience
