The Opportunity

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Sydney team of around 40 professionals, based in our CBD office - just a 2-minute stroll from the Sydney Metro Gadigal Station and well-connected by multiple transport options. This role provides an opportunity to work with other Engineers including Senior and Principal Engineers who are leaders in their areas of expertise.

Our ideal candidate would have 3 to 8 years’ local experience in consulting structural engineering, will have worked on a variety of building structural projects, and will have a thirst to learn and grow.

We have a strong pipeline of structural design projects across residential, commercial, industrial, retail, education, health and infrastructure for a wide range of clients.

About The Role

You will work under a range of Senior and Principal engineers, and with a team of more junior engineers across a variety of projects and will be responsible for:

• Undertaking structural engineering design from concept to detailed, under supervision
• Working largely on the design of building structures, but with the opportunity to also work on maritime and civil structures
• Undertaking site visits during the design and construction phases
• Completing condition assessment and reporting on building structures
• Coordinating with the external design team on the projects you work on
• Maintaining client relationships on the projects you work on
  
  

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Approximately 3-8 years of local consulting experience
• The ability to work and coordinating with external design team members and clients
• Time management skills and the agility to work across several projects at once to assist the whole team
• Experience in the design of a range of building structures
• Experience in undertaking condition assessments of building structures
• Ability or willingness to assist in the preparation of fee proposals
• A good knowledge of using Bluebeam, Spacegass and RAPT
• Exposure to RAM Concept, RCB, and ETABS
