The Role

Join Our Growing Structural Team in Newcastle! Are you a Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? With three years’ experience under your belt, this is your chance to join a dynamic team where you’ll work on exciting projects, collaborate with industry experts and continue to develop your technical skills.

About The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you’ll be involved in designing, analysing and assessing structures across a range of projects in the buildings and infrastructure space, and you will get to partner with Senior Engineers and project teams to ensure continuous delivery of high quality, safe and efficient designs. You will get the chance to engage with a range of clients including architects, builders, developers and more, and make a contribution to the overall business development and diversification of the Newcastle office.

What does a day look like?

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and manage designs
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to meet project goals
  • Use design software to create structural works plans
  • Work with drafting teams to produce structural documentation
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulation requirements
  • Prepare project reports, technical documents and proposals
  • Be involved in the mentorship of engineering graduates
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in Structural design
  • Proficiency in SPACE GASS, Strand7, ETABS and/or RAPT will be highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of contemporary design standards such as AS1170, AS4100, AS3600, AS3700, AS1720 and more
  • A strong communicator and problem solver
