Job summary

Delve Pty Ltd on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Engineering Design & Certifications (EDC) team. You will deliver structural design and certification projects for residential and light commercial construction.

Applicants should have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, registered PE, at least five years of post-graduate experience, and strong knowledge of Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Current Professional Engineer registration (RPEQ, CPEng, NER or equivalent).
• Minimum five years' post-graduate structural engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and structural engineering principles.
• Experience using structural design software and engineering documentation systems.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a professional engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering design and certification projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, designs and technical documentation.
• Undertake peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with Australian Standards.
• Monitor project progress and assist in identifying and managing technical risks.

Delve, HR Business Partner to Engineering Design & Certifications (EDC), is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join EDC’s engineering team on the Gold Coast.

EDC specialises in light gauge steel, residential and light commercial structural design. With projects delivered across Australia, the company has built a strong reputation for practical, efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Directors, the Structural Engineer is responsible for delivering structural design and certification projects in accordance with Australian Standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves preparing engineering designs and documentation, undertaking technical reviews, providing engineering advice to clients and stakeholders, and contributing to the delivery of projects across residential and light commercial construction.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other engineers, provide technical guidance to graduate and junior engineers where required, and contribute to the ongoing development of engineering systems, tools and processes.
