Job summary

L+R Consulting in Brisbane is seeking a Structural Engineer to deliver structural projects from conception to delivery. You will work closely with clients to ensure designs and documentation meet high standards.

The role requires 3–6 years of consultancy experience, a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, and proficiency with Inducta and common design software. A strong communicator will thrive in our collaborative, project-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years’ experience in engineering consultancy environments.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering as a minimum.
• Experience using Inducta program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed design of reinforced and restressed concrete structures.
• Provide detailed design of steel and timber framed structures, including masonry design for retaining walls.
• Complete site inspections as requested.
• Prepare technical specifications, write reports and provide technical engineering support/advice.
• Solid understanding of industry standard design software packages and MS Office.
• Manage projects using cloud based project management systems.

Your Role

As Structural Engineer, you’ll participate in the delivery of structural projects for L+R Consulting. You will work closely with clients from conception to completions, ensuring all design and documentation are up to a high standard.

You’ll

• Provide detailed design of reinforced and restressed concrete structures


• Provide detailed design of steel and timber framed structures, including masonry design for retaining walls


• Complete site inspections as requested


• Prepare technical specifications, write reports and provide technical engineering support/advice.


• Have a solid understanding of industry standard design software packages and other computer software such as Microsoft Office.


• Manage projects using cloud based project management systems.

What You’ll Bring
