Job summary

Five Group’s L+R Consulting unit is seeking a Structural Engineer in Brisbane. You will deliver structural designs across concrete, steel and timber framed projects, from conception to completion, with rigorous documentation and high standards.

Site inspections and technical reports form part of the role, using industry software and cloud-based tools. You will bring 3–6 years in engineering consultancy, a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, experience with Inducta, and clear communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years’ experience in engineering consultancy environments.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering as a minimum.
• Experience using Inducta program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed design of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.
• Provide detailed design of steel and timber framed structures, including masonry design for retaining walls.
• Complete site inspections as requested.
• Prepare technical specifications, write reports and provide engineering support/advice.
• Have a solid understanding of industry standard design software packages and other computer software such as Microsoft Office.
• Manage projects using cloud-based project management systems.
