As demand for modular construction continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Structural Design Lead to join our National Technical Services team.

In this role, you'll lead a talented team responsible for delivering structural design and documentation that supports manufacturing and project delivery across Australia. Working closely with Design, Manufacturing, Estimating and Construction teams, you'll help ensure high-quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with people leadership, driving continuous improvement, developing team capability and contributing to some of Australia's most diverse and innovative modular construction projects.

As modular construction continues to grow nationally, this role will play a key part in strengthening design capability, improving operational performance and driving consistency across structural documentation and project delivery.

This role suits a technically strong leader who is passionate about developing people, improving processes and maintaining high standards across design, manufacturing and construction.

While this is a leadership role, you will remain hands‑on, contributing to structural detailing, workshop documentation and technical problem‑solving while mentoring team members and supporting project delivery.

In This Role, You Will
  • Lead and develop the Structural Design Team to deliver accurate and timely production documentation.
  • Manage team workloads, capacity and priorities to support manufacturing schedules and project delivery requirements.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation meet quality, compliance and manufacturing standards.
  • Coordinate engineering inputs, design changes and drawing revisions to support production readiness.
  • Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Estimating and Construction teams to resolve technical and documentation challenges.
  • Establish and maintain structural design standards, processes and documentation controls.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality and team performance.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to build team capability and consistency.
  • Resolve complex detailing challenges and provide hands‑on project support when required.
  • Maintain expertise in Revit, FrameCAD and production documentation practices.
About You

You are an experienced structural design leader with a strong technical background and a proven ability to lead teams, improve processes and deliver high-quality outcomes.

With expertise in structural detailing and production documentation, you combine strong technical capability with a passion for mentoring others, building stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring
  • Experience leading or coordinating a Structural Design, Drafting or Technical Design team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and FrameCAD.
  • Strong expertise in structural detailing, steel‑framed construction and production documentation.
  • Hands‑on technical leadership experience, including resolving complex detailing challenges and supporting project delivery.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate, compliant documentation that supports manufacturing and construction outcomes.
  • Experience managing competing priorities and project deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound knowledge of document control and drawing revision processes.
  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Relevant qualifications in Building Design, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within modular construction, manufacturing or related industries will be highly regarded.
Experience That Would Set You Apart

While not essential, experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Modular or prefabricated construction.
