Job summary

Clarence Valley Council is seeking a hands-on maintenance worker to perform landscaping, construction and general upkeep across multiple spaces, facilities and assets throughout the region.

You will handle tasks from town centres to nature reserves, parks, beaches and public amenities, in a role that varies daily and supports council priorities. A safety-first approach and relevant certificates are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate II in a relevant discipline such as carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, building construction; or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in a similar role, including maintenance of parks and assets.
• A current Class C Driver’s Licence and a General Construction Induction (White Card).
• A safety-first approach, with a strong commitment to following WHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of landscaping, construction, gardening, general maintenance and cleaning tasks across various spaces, facilities and assets.
• Attend to duties from town centres to parks, beaches, nature reserves and public amenities as required.
• Support maintenance programs and report issues to the supervisor as needed.
