Job summary

Service Stream is accepting applications for Street Sweeper Operators in Clayton, VIC. The role requires operating a street sweeper vehicle, completing paperwork, and applying a strong safety focus. You should have an MR licence and be able to work under day, afternoon and night shift rosters.

This is a full-time position under the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement with a monthly RDO. The successful candidate will join a team focused on safe, efficient operations and precise data recording on site.

Service Stream is on the hunt for experienced Street Sweeper Operators to join our Clayton team!

About the Role

The Clayton team are seeking Street Sweeper Operators to join our team! The successful applicant is required to operate a street sweeper vehicle (valid minimum MR licence required), complete paperwork and forms, possess mechanical aptitude, able to decipher maps, perform labouring duties and use hand tools.

This is a full-time role under the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement with a monthly RDO provided. The successful candidate will be able to work day, afternoon and nightshift rosters.

Key Responsibilities

• Must have previous experience operating street sweepers
• Ensuring all tools, vehicles and equipment are used correctly, maintained in a safe operational condition and all hazards/defects are reported to the Team Leader
• Completing the correct shut-down and end-of-day cleaning process for the street sweeper
• Completing all works with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency
• Recording works-related data in the field, in line with work instructions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Participating in daily pre-start and shift-close meetings, contributing ideas for changes and improvements in work practices to enhance safety and efficiency and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement

About You

• Previous experience operating road sweepers on freeways and arterial roads essential
• Be able to work with little supervision
• Ability to be a committed team player who drives for service excellence and continuous improvement
• A track record of working with a relentless focus on worker, road user and community safety
• High levels of self-motivation, exceptional time-management skills and a proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Digital and data management skills, including familiarity with field applications for works management
• Mostly a nightshift role but must be able to work dayshift when required including weekend on-call for emergencies.
