Job summary

Asahi Beverages in Melbourne seeks a strategy professional to influence decisions across Oceania. You will drive high impact projects, define problems, evaluate options and translate insights into actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders.

Job description

Step into a strategy role with real visibility and influence across Asahi Beverages. Reporting to a Head of Strategy, you’ll work across the business on high value strategic priorities that help shape our direction across Oceania.

From commercial growth opportunities to broader enterprise challenges, you’ll take on varied, complex work where the answer is not always obvious. You’ll bring together strategic thinking, commercial judgement and rigorous analysis to define the problem, explore the choices and turn insight into recommendations that support important business decisions.

You’ll also contribute to the development of our Oceania Mid Term Plan and broader strategic agenda, giving you exposure to both long term direction and the strategic projects helping bring it to life. For someone who enjoys solving different problems, working across functions and seeing their thinking translate into action, this is an opportunity to build breadth and make a meaningful contribution at an enterprise level.

Please note, this role will be offered as a 12M fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead high impact strategic projects, from defining the problem and evaluating potential solutions through to clear recommendations.
• Support the ongoing development of the Oceania Mid Term Plan and broader strategic agenda.
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify insights and inform strategic choices.
• Bring structure to complex and ambiguous business challenges, developing practical and commercially grounded solutions.
• Apply strong business and financial analysis to understand the implications of strategic options and recommendations.
• Consolidate complex findings into clear, compelling recommendations that support effective decision making.
• Collaborate across the business on strategic projects and priorities, bringing together different perspectives and expertise.

About You:

• Tertiary qualified, with extensive experience in strategy development and implementation.
• Experience working within a large, matrixed complex environment.
• Strong understanding of FMCG or the beverage industry.
• Strong business and financial analysis capability, with the commercial judgement to understand the implications of strategic choices.
• A structured problem solver who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and working through complex challenges.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to move between detailed analysis and the broader business context.
• A clear and credible communicator who can simplify complexity, influence stakeholders and present recommendations effectively.
• Collaborative, commercially minded and comfortable working across different functions and priorities.
