Job summary

Oaktree Talent Group & Future State Consulting is seeking a Strategy Manager to drive rigorous analysis across our Consumer/Agriculture portfolio. You will work on-site with operational leaders, translating data into actionable recommendations and leading the implementation of growth initiatives.

You will build business cases, financial models, and board-ready materials for executive leadership, ensuring insights translate into measurable improvements across cost, yield, and supply chain

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in management consulting at a leading firm.
• Proven ability to build business cases and commercial analysis.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience presenting to ELT/Board-level audiences.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join a Consumer/Agriculture portfolio company backed by a major ASX-listed investor. Our client grows, packs and sells premium fresh produce across multiple categories nationally and into export markets. The Role

Reporting into the Chief of Staff, you'll work closely with operational leaders across the business, bringing rigorous analysis to the decisions they're making.

You'll get close to the operations rather than sitting removed from them, spending time on-site across the business to understand what's really driving the numbers, then taking your analysis to the people who can act on it and following it through to real change.

What you'll get into

• Solve complex operational challenges using structured problem-solving, synthesising qualitative and quantitative insights into recommendations that drive real decisions
• Get into the detail of the business, from cost and yield performance to production and supply chain efficiency, to find where the real opportunity sits
• Work with leaders across the business to build the business case for capital, cost and investment decisions
• Follow your own findings through to implementation, tracking each one until the benefit shows up in the result
• Prepare and deliver board-ready analysis and presentations to the ELT, Board and the Group
• Build the financial models and Power BI reporting that back every recommendation, because there's no one else to hand it to

What we're looking for

• 5 years' experience in management consulting gained within a leading management consulting firm, with a focus on strategy (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Kearney, L.E.K., Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte or similar), currently holding (or ready to step into) a manager-level position
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to model rigorously and build board-grade material at pace
• Proven ability to build business cases and commercial analysis to support strategic recommendations
• Experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders, including exposure to ELT and/or Board-level audiences
• Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, evolving environment
• Financial services industry exposure highly regarded, though not essential
