You will contribute to deal screening, financial modelling and due diligence, translating strategic priorities into a live deal pipeline while maintaining stakeholder credibility and travel as needed.
On behalf of our client, a PE-backed established healthcare business, with a regional presence across Asia Pacific we are searching for a Strategy & Growth Lead.
This is a high-impact, Associate-level appointment within the organisation's Strategy & Corporate Development function, reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer. You'll help shape the portfolio and growth agenda for the region and convert strategic priorities into a live pipeline of M&A, in-licensing and partnership opportunities, working closely with senior leadership across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
Shaping portfolio and growth strategy across geography, channel and deal route. Building fact-based growth theses on attractive markets and portfolio white spaces. Screening and assessing M&A and in-licensing opportunities, from strategic fit through to execution feasibility. Building and challenging market models, valuations, deal economics and business cases. Supporting due diligence end to end, partnering with functional teams across the business. Producing decision-ready materials for senior leadership and the Board. Representing the business credibly with external partners, targets and advisers.
What we’re looking for:
Around 4 to 7 years experience, ideally including time at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, L.E.K, Kearney etc). Meaningful exposure to a transaction environment, through private equity, investment banking, corporate development or consulting work involving M&A, commercial due diligence or investment assessment. Strong financial modelling, market sizing, valuation and synthesis skills. Experience in healthcare or another regulated sector. Excellent stakeholder and communication skills, and full working rights in Australia with a willingness to travel regionally.
This is a genuinely broad, senior-facing mandate for someone who wants transaction exposure alongside real strategic ownership.
