Job summary

Laing O’Rourke Australia is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning Lead to forecast, plan and respond to future workforce demand across our Australian business. You will work with senior leaders to align project pipelines with capability, using data and insights to identify risks and opportunities in workforce supply, capacity and mobility.

This role requires strong Excel and reporting skills, with Power BI experience advantageous, and a track record of partnering with stakeholders to translate

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic workforce planning within a large or complex organisation.
• Strong workforce forecasting, capacity planning and scenario-modelling capability.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn workforce data into clear, practical insights.
• Confidence partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of how workforce planning connects with recruitment, talent, mobility and capability development.
• Strong Excel and reporting capability, with Power BI or similar experience advantageous.

• Undertake scenario planning across project wins, losses, mobilisation, demobilisation and growth.
• Identify critical and hard-to-source capability requirements early to support proactive workforce planning.
• Develop workforce reporting and insights to support business and resourcing decisions.
