Job summary

Laing O'Rourke in Australia is seeking a Construction Planner to join the ANI NPSCY program in Osborne, South Australia. You will coordinate resources, apply planning standards, and support high-performance teams on a landmark defence infrastructure project.

You should have solid project planning experience on large-scale builds, knowledge of Australian Standards, and leadership skills; Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level is required.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in project planning on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes.
• Lead auditor qualification is preferred.
• Australian citizenship with NV1-level security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with Project Document Management Systems.

We are currently seeking a Construction Planner to join our AUKUS team

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project resources, supporting workforce capability development and high-performance outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with organisational planning processes, industry standards, and project control best practices.
• Administer and manage contract-related time obligations
• Provide strategic planning expertise and innovative solutions to support project success.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote high standards of performance, quality and professionalism across project teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Be a part of a collaborative, flexible and high-performing team culture that encourages accountability, innovation and continuous development.
• Support a positive and rewarding work environment that recognises achievements and celebrates success.

About You

• Solid experience in Project Planning on large-scale construction projects.
• Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes
• Strong leadership skills with prior exposure managing a team would be highly beneficial.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), Industry Codes and Procedures.
• Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems.
• Business or engineering degree (desirable).
• Lead auditor qualification.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
