Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting a Supplier Manager to accelerate supplier PO processing and optimise spare parts delivery from Didcot, Oxfordshire. The role focuses on reducing stock, avoiding obsolescence and delivering reliable service with strong data-driven decision making.

You will analyse order exceptions, forecast stockholding and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. 36 hours/week, £40,000–£42,000 per annum with a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier or inventory management.
• Strong data analytics for reporting and insights.
• Advanced Excel and Access skills for data manipulation.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all supplier arrears have an up-to-date ETA.
• Understand causes of availability failure and manage performance improvement.
• Resolve order exceptions promptly and log actions.
• Support data analysis and reporting to drive process improvements.
• Manage customer queries related to spares orders and requirements.
• Create and maintain material master data for smooth supply chain operations.
