Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia in Sydney CBD invites an experienced Supplier and Commercial Manager to lead high-value contracts and uplift supplier management capability.

Reporting to the procurement or IT teams, you will shape commercial strategy, negotiate terms, manage risk and drive value across the contract lifecycle.

This is a senior leadership two-year contract offering broad stakeholder exposure and opportunities to build capability across the Bank.

Qualifications

• Experience managing high-value, complex commercial contracts and strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation capability.
• Ability to influence outcomes across a large organisation without formal line management authority.
• Experience identifying and managing commercial, contractual and legal risks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across business, project, procurement and legal functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-value and complex commercial contracts from development and execution through to ongoing performance management, renewal and close-out.
• Provide expert commercial advice on contractual obligations, commercial strategy, supplier performance and risk management.
• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions that protect the Bank's interests and support delivery of strategic objectives.
• Lead the management of significant supplier relationships, contract performance issues, disputes and commercial negotiations.
• Ensure commercial and contractual risks are identified, assessed and managed throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Work with Procurement, Legal and business stakeholders to maximise value and strengthen supplier outcomes.
