Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Special Events Project Manager within the Alumni and Supporter Experience team to lead strategic planning and delivery of engagement events, including the Community Festival and related initiatives.

You will coordinate high-profile events, manage stakeholders, and apply project leadership to foster connections with alumni and supporters across a dynamic program.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coordinating delivery of a broad range of events, including high-profile and large-scale events.
• Advanced verbal and written skills with keen attention to detail.
• Previous project management and administration experience.
• Ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
• High-level organisational and time management skills, including prioritising workload under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing event environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of events including the Community Festival and other engagement initiatives across the portfolio.
• Lead, contribute to and provide specialist advice on a range of event initiatives.
• Manage stakeholders and ensure delivery to time, scope and budget.
